Description
This is the rare vintage designer Robert L. Green, Butterick pattern #4710, to make a men's cargo, safari style suit, size 40, ca. 1970s. Although this is a menswear pattern, it most certainly could be tailored to fit anyone and so can be a gender non-specific or unisex pattern. It comes to you in good, cut condition with all pattern pieces present, instructions present showing some wear and tear, and original pattern envelope showing wear, having been repaired with tape. Size 40 will fit a figure of the following range of measurements:chest: 40" waist: 34" hips: 41"
This cool cargo safari style suit, also known as a leisure suit, features a semi-fitted, partially lined jacket with pointed convertible collar, front and back yokes, inset waistband, patch pockets with buttoned flaps, back vent and front button closing. The full length, two piece sleeves are pleated into button cuffs. sleeves with button trim. The straight legged pants or shorts have shaped front pockets extending into belt carriers, waistband with belt carriers, fly front zipper, and have optional back patch pockets with button flaps. Shorts have smaller patch pockets with button flaps applied to the front shaped pockets. This is one adventurous suit pattern!
