    Ottoman Empire Turkey 5 Kurush Coin 1909
    This coin is from the Ottoman Empire and is dated 1909 (or 1327 in the Hijri calendar).
    One side has a quote from the Koran saying “There is no god but Allah” in the center. Underneath is the name of Sultan Rashad (Mehmed or Mohamed V), the new ruler.
    The other side says “Wishing him great success” at the top and “Constantinople” in the lower part.
    This coin has clearly been circulated, but it's in pretty good shape after 112 years!
